Privacy Policy

Wolverine Planning is an independent, student-run academic planning service based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, operated by Carson Horky. We are not affiliated with the University of Michigan. If you have questions about this policy, email carson@wolverineplanning.com.

When you contact us through the website, we collect your name, email address, pre-health track, the package you are interested in, and anything you write in your message.

When you become a client, we keep the information needed to build and maintain your roadmap. That includes your name, email, phone number (if you share it), class standing, major and minor, planned and completed courses, grades you or your advisor enter, requirement checklists, exam target dates, notes from your advisor, messages you send through your portal, and records of payments (amount, date, and method, such as Venmo or Zelle).

We never collect credit card or bank numbers through this website, and we do not ask for your Social Security number or student ID number.

We use your information only to provide and improve our planning services: replying to your inquiry, building and updating your roadmap, tracking your progress against degree and pre-health requirements, sending account emails such as password resets, and keeping basic business records.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with advertisers.

We rely on a small number of trusted providers, each of which handles your information only to perform its service for us:

• Netlify hosts the website.
• Neon stores the website's database.
• Resend delivers emails sent by the website and by your advisor.
• Cloudflare manages our domain and forwards email sent to our address.
• Google (Gmail) hosts the inbox where our email arrives.

The website uses a single cookie to keep you signed in to your client portal. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics.

Connections to the website are encrypted, passwords are stored in hashed form so no one (including us) can read them, repeated failed sign-ins are temporarily blocked, and access to client records is limited to you and your advisor. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.

We keep inquiry information for as long as it is useful for following up, and client information for as long as you are a client and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing carson@wolverineplanning.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. Deleting your information will also close your client portal.

Wolverine Planning is intended for college students and incoming college students. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we use client information, we will let current clients know by email.
